Operations Manager - TLHC (Targeted Lung Health Check)
Location:
Home-based / Nationwide with regular visits to our Middlewich office
Salary:

Introduction:
Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) pilots are a new area for the NHS and InHealth making it an exciting time to be involved. InHealth currently support the NHS with software, bookings, a triage service, Nurse led TLHCs and mobile CT scanning. We need people with the passion and drive to help shape the future of our services and the creativity to make our services the best in the country for Commissioners but most importantly the patients we serve.
If you want to really get stuck in and have a huge impact on both current and future services, this is the role for you! In this role you will help to ensure that the services we provide to our patients are of the highest possible standard. Responsible for the running of a number of TLHC programmes across a geographic patch; working with commissioners, sub-contractors and internal stakeholders and departments to ensure the TLHC programmes in your remit are delivering on all of their key performance indicators and quality metrics.
What you will do:
Make healthcare better for our patients
Take the lead on InHealth TLHC programmes across a number of locations
Provide the best service to everyone and build InHealth’s reputation in this area
Build and strengthen relationships with various stakeholders, including commissioners, sub-contractors and internally within InHealth and InHealth Intelligence
Manage operational delivery of a number of TLHC programmes
Ensure your programmes meet and, where possible, exceed internal and external KPIs and quality metrics
Report on performance of your programmes and put remedial actions in place for any underperforming areas
Work with commissioners, subcontractors and internal departments to plan, schedule and implement services for the delivery of the programmes in line with commissioner requirements and modelling
Provide senior input into policy and guidance development and implementation.
What you are responsible for:
Operations
Operational delivery and management of the Lung Health Check services including:
Liaising with InHealth CT mobile units, Mobile Planning, Transport, Procurement, Legal, I.T., Finance and Radiographer departments overscheduling, locations, reporting and new contracts.
Help to set up and account manage subsidiary services such as subcontracted Reporting and Artificial Intelligence software provision, Nurses, waste collection, water delivery and collection, security, and cleaning including managing the schedules of collections/deliveries
Work with project managers and internal stakeholders to find, assess and set up new mobile CT locations and nurse clinic rooms (when required)
The effective utilisation and deployment of staff and resources to achieve safe, efficient, and patient-centred service delivery.
To work collaboratively with external partners including Commissioners, GPs, Hospital Radiology departments, Smoking Cessation teams and Respiratory Nurse Teams.
Assisting with the collation of data sets and submission of reports. Ensuring, the Ipsos Mori and other feedback/national data is collated and reported.
Leading operational change and continual improvement to ensure the service meets the diverse needs of patients in the contract area and remains safe, current, effective, and efficient in all aspects.
Management of incidents and complaints ensuring lessons are learnt and mitigation measures are put in place, timely recording on Sentinel and in accordance with the national guidance
Deal with all day to day operational issues that may arise during the running of your programmes, keeping internal and external stakeholders informed of any issues and progress
Compliance
Ensure awareness of health & safety and infection control (Training will be provided)
Ensure internal and external quality assurances for IHIs TLHC programmes are complied with and reported on as required
Draft and present relevant update reports for your programmes and develop remedial actions and processes where required, sharing best practice across other TLHC programmes
Collate and produce reports and specific audits as required
Aid in the development of Policies, Procedures, SOPs and QMSs to meet internal and external regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards
Stakeholder Engagement / Networking
Ensure all patients, carers and others are treated with dignity and respect and that they are listened to, and reasonable requests/adjustments (within policy) are accommodated.
Attend national network events in the field of TLHC / Lung Cancer / Lung Health and identify innovation
Have an external customer and patient centred focus, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with all key stakeholders
Represent IHI at Commissioner, NHS England, Public Health England and other external meetings as required Business Development
Support tender and sales processes as required
Assist with Mobilisations
Leading on specific TLHC projects and strategic improvements IT / Software / Hardware
Become an expert level user of Spectra - Lung, IT infrastructure and Laptops in accordance with best practice
Run demonstrations and training sessions as required for potential customers and new users.
Advising on potential improvements to IHIs software and systems, proposing enhancements to the functionality and specify requirements of any development required
Work with the IT testing and development teams to quality assurance review and sign off on new releases, attending software meetings as required
In an operational capacity, support the roll out of software systems and assist with training and writing supporting SOPs and QMSs as required
Support communications between IT and TLHC Programmes in relation to road mapping and releases
Other
Attend meetings of TLHC Management Team and ensure that operational issues are discussed and resolved

Desirable to understand lung health/cancer and its complications, along with the lung health check pilots.
