If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.About the RoleWe are collaborating with Savills to deliver Oxford’s new innovation district, Oxford North: a sustainable place to work, live, learn, and socialise. Upon completion, Oxford North will feature over one million sqft of labs and workspaces, 480 new homes, a hotel, nursery, amenities, and three new public parks. The Operations Manager role requires a proactive and highly competent individual who will be responsible for overseeing the operation of multiple buildings and public spaces at Oxford North, working closely with the Estate Director. This role includes ensuring efficient and effective management of these assets including onboarding new team members, service partners and supporting occupiers through the fit-out stages to steady state operation.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadershipManage onsite service partner contracts and the growing management team.Develop strong working relationships with the Client team through regular reporting and meetings.Ensure the Oxford North brand, vision, and values are integrated across all building services.Operations & Service Partner CoordinationOversee procurement and management of building and estate contracted services.Regularly inspect buildings and public realms, maintaining high standards and addressing maintenance needs promptly.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain updated manuals and risk assessments.Stakeholder ManagementDevelop and maintain professional relationships with occupier representatives, encouraging open communication.Oversee public realm enlivenment programmes, ensuring a mix of engaging events.Manage public realm projects, collaborating with external stakeholders such as local councils and emergency services.FinanceManage the production of annual building service charge budgets and management accounts.Monitor service charge expenditure to ensure value for money.Approve supplier invoices and ensure timely processing through Savills systems.Essential Experience:Experience in a mixed-use environment is key.Proven performance and people management skills.Managerial experience in maintaining services in busy public environments.Experience with extensive landscaping and public-use spaceExperience in managing security, cleaning, and maintenance staff.Proficient in administering detailed record-keeping systems.Understanding of service charge and RICS code compliance.Formal IOSH/NEBOSH Health & Safety qualifications.Desirable ExperienceExperience working on a life science estate or with life science operators.Proven track record of delivering high-quality public realm projects.First Aid qualifications.Experience liaising with Police, Fire, and Government Enforcement offices.If you are excited about mobilising and leading multi-occupier buildings and are driven by delivering exceptional customer service, please get in touch with Savills’ recruitment partner, The Management Recruitment Group, to request our candidate briefing document and learn more about this opportunity.Emilia ##### #####
