Gassco AS UK is dedicated to transporting Norwegian gas safely and efficiently to millions across the UK and Europe. They are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Senior Management role: Operations Manager.

As the Operations Manager, you will spearhead the daily operations of the Langeled Receiving Facility (LRF) and oversee all its Production Systems and Utility Services. You will be an integral part of the LRF leadership team, working closely with the Terminal Manager, Business Services Manager, HSSEQ Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Asset Improvement Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the facility.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leadership, management and co-ordination of all operational activities for Gassco AS UK Branch, delivering the high levels of HSEQ and business performance required and expected by Gassco.

Experience and Skills Required:

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in Process Operations & Relevant Operational Experience.

Desirable Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science / Engineering Degree.
• NEBOSH Certificate

Essential Experience & Knowledge

• Proven experience of coaching, developing and leading a team with demonstrable results.
• Working on a leadership team, strategic planning, building and delivering a vision.
• Experience of managing shift personnel/patterns
• Experience of Emergency Management.
• Budgetary Management experience.
• Experience of identifying continuous
• Improvement & facilitating change sensitively.
• Experience of risk management and working in a highly hazardous environment, developing and implementing safe systems of work.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Health & Safety and COMAH regulations
• Knowledge of continuous process industry.
• Developing a business case & change Management.
• Developing medium and long term Operational Plan.
• Ability to skilfully communicate positive expectations and manage difficult conversations and feedback, including managing conflict.
• Ability to write procedures to a high standard and understand what good looks like.
