Our client, a leading organisation within the financial sector, is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager with a background in financial or other regulated industries. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the company's operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and outstanding service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing operations within financial services or other regulated industries, coupled with excellent leadership and strategic thinking abilities. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing a team of over fifty employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure streamlined processes and efficient workflow.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance productivity and compliance.
  • Monitor and analyse operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with various departments to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of over fifty operational staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning related to operational activities.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing appropriate controls and contingency plans.
  • Drive operational projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful execution.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies.

Key skills:

  • Extensive experience in operations management within financial services or other regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the relevant industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and optimising operations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring a team of over fifty employees.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including MS Office Suite and financial management systems.
