Our client, a membership body for the entertainment industry are currently on the search for an Operations Manager to join their team in Covent Garden, Central London.  In this role you will manage all operational matters for the organisation relating to Building Management, Maintenance and Repair, Health & Safety, IT, Key Event support and general operations support for all the properties and all staff and visitors who use them.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:


  • Responsible for the sustainable pro-active and reactive management of all building fabric and infrastructure and building services across all organisation sites.
  • Procure and manage contractors, suppliers and vendors providing building, maintenance / servicing and office supplies services, ensuring the highest standards of delivery whilst providing best value for money.
  • Ensure all building statutory testing and servicing is undertaken at all buildings,

ensuring a safe and secure working environment at all times.


  • Develop, cost, tender for and deliver capital and refurbishment projects: managing budgets, liaising with professional services and contractors in their timely and on-budget delivery.
  • Develop and manage a building maintenance plan to provide proactive upkeep and updating of buildings and building systems, liaising with the Director of Finance and Operations on budgetary considerations.
  • Be a keyholder and provide out of hours support in the event of a building or health &

safety emergency.


  • Lead on the operational delivery of IT for the organisation, ensuring we have a fit for purpose infrastructure, hardware and software.
  • Manage the IT support partners, ensuring delivery in line with contract in terms of quality and cost.
  • Take the lead for day to day Health & Safety policy and management, ensuring compliance with H&S law and best practice, leading and embedding a culture of H&S excellence across the organisation
  • Establish and maintain a system of H&S training for all staff, especially those new to the company.
  • To maintain and update H&S records including H&S policies, risk assessments and safe

systems of work

The ideal candidate will be an IT savvy Facilities Manager with experience within a busy environment, you will have strong communication skills and have proven ability to manage a team. You will be able to demonstrate that you are able to manage budgets and have experience of tendering contracts and managing contractor delivery. Due to nature of the role you will be IOSH/ NEBOSH Qualified.

In return, our client is offering a salary band of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum (There is an expectation that you will start at the bottom of the band). Additional Benefits include: Pension (5% Employer contribution), Discounted/ Free Event Tickets, Regular Social Events. Development Opportunities
