Operations Manager
£50,000 - £55,000 P/A, depending on experience

Full time | Permanent | 40 hours per week 

Are you a strategic operational manager with excellent people management and leadership qualities? 
Do you have experience working in the architecture, infrastructure, steelworks, temporary structure, seating design, construction design, scaffolding, marquee or events industries? 
Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting an Operations Manager to join the team.
The main purpose of this role is to work strategically to optimise processes and achieve organisational goals. Using data, you will forecast for future needs, streamline operations and align resources to meet project demands and objectives. 
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £55,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday + bank holidays, health cash plan, pension contributions, plus more!
This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Please note - this position may require some UK (and occasional European) travel, so flexibility around the core hours would be a desirable and a valid passport will be a prerequisite. 
You will also need a full drivers license. 
Reporting to the Operations Director, your responsibilities will include:


  • Labour resource planning, including planning for labour needs up to a year in advance
  • Working with the HR team to identify training needs and develop strategies to enhance employee development and retention
  • Maintaining strategic partnerships with subcontractors and temporary staff to ensure workplace flexibility and scalability 
  • Identifying and mitigating operational and business risks
  • Continuous improvements 
  • Actively participating in project meetings 
  • Inspire and coach the operations team and champion opportunities for learning and career progression 
  • Ensuring effective allocation of staffing resources and overseeing all timesheet and expense management 
  • Conducting annual reviews and one-to-one meetings 
  • Championing health and safety, serving as a good role model and addressing all safety concerns quickly 


The ideal candidate:


  • Must be an experienced Operations Manager from a national or international organisation
  • Will need to be an effective people manager with strong communication and relationship building qualities
  • Must have experience in a relevant industry, such as architecture, infrastructure, steelworks, temporary structure, seating design, construction design, scaffolding, marquee or events industries
  • Will be fully IT literate, financially minded with strong data driven skills
