This is a rare opportunity to lead a production department for one-off, customer-specific equipment. As Production/Operations Manager, you will manage all aspects of production, from personnel and equipment to budgets and schedules, ensuring the smooth delivery of highly specialized products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the production team, workshops, and resources to meet customer and company goals.
* Plan and manage production schedules, maintaining strict adherence to budgets, timescales, and quality standards.
* Collaborate with the engineering department during contract meetings to align production timelines.
* Ensure workshop safety, maintenance, and equipment functionality.
* Liaise with subcontractors and machining suppliers to optimize operations.
* Provide support for Conform™ spares inquiries and orders.
* Manage logistics by coordinating with the admin team to organize shipments, orders, and cost estimates.
* Attend management meetings and deliver detailed progress reports.
What We’re Looking For:
* A solid engineering background and a minimum of 5 years’ management experience.
* Knowledge of health and safety protocols in workshop environments.
* Proven experience in planning production schedules for large-scale projects.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in preparing equipment for international shipping.
* Knowledge of machining and inspection procedures.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business tools.
* Negotiation skills and experience with subcontractors.
