The Opportunity:

We are looking for an Operations Support Manager to join our busy Operations Team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a variety of teams that carry out statutory and non-statutory tasks with impending legislative changes.

The Role:

Supporting the Strategy & Business Development Manager with the development and delivery of services within Operations, you will manage the Supervisors and Officers in Waste Minimisation & Sustainability, Business Support, the Cemeteries Service and the Markets Officer, along with an Apprentice who will work across the teams.

You will also lead on promoting your teams' services and identify and deliver initiatives, attend partnership meetings, trade events and conferences and support the implement of any outcomes from these to ensure Operations stays up to date with industry news and legislative changes.

The Experience You Will Bring:

The post is varied and fast paced and requires a dynamic, can do and 'thinking outside the box' attitude. Substantial experience in managing a variety of teams with proven, effective results is essential.

With legislative changes upcoming in the recycling industry, understanding of the industry and/or relevant qualifications would be a bonus but are not essential for the role.

This post would be best suited to a highly motivated and organised individual, with the ability to manage their own workload, as well as ensure the teams they are responsible for are progressing and meeting targets and deadlines. You must be able to delegate tasks and motivate yourself and others.

Flexibility around working hours is required, as you will be on the weekend out of hours duty rota. The post holder must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
