Job DescriptionJob Title: Oracle DeveloperLocation: London (Hybrid)Contract Length: 6 monthsRate: £400 - £500 (Outside IR35)Previous Higher Education working experience is a MUST HAVE!Overview:This Higher Education Institution are looking for an Oracle Developer to join the Information Technology Services team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle-based applications that support the institution's administrative and academic operations. This role requires a deep understanding of Oracle technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the institution.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement Oracle database applications to support institutional needs, including student information systems, finance systems, and human resources systems.Perform database administration tasks such as backup, recovery, performance tuning, and monitoring to ensure optimal database performance and availability.Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient data integration between Oracle databases and other institutional systems.Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze system needs, and design solutions that enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards using Oracle reporting tools to support decision-making processes across the institution.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, code, and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and system maintainability.Experience:Proven experience with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports.Experience with Oracle APEX and Oracle E-Business Suite is a plus.Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.Knowledge of database design, data modeling, and normalization.Experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator).
