Outbound Operations Manager

This organisation is one of the largest automotive parts distributors in the world and have just opened a brand new semi automated distribution centre in South Yorkshire. This is an opportunity to be part of the leadership team at this exciting and ground breaking automated facility.

As Outbound Operations Manager you will work on a (Apply online only) shift across Monday to Friday leading a team of c. 90 warehouse operatives and first line managers to effectively run the dispatch operation. Other key responsibilities include:

• Oversee outbound operations, ensuring optimal productivity and effective use of labour
• Ensure all orders are dispatched on time with a high degree of accuracy
• Lead and develop a team of warehouse staff by fostering a culture of collaboration and people engagement
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to improve the efficiency, safety, and quality of warehouse practices.
• Monitor performance metrics and analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Manage budgetary constraints while optimising operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement best practices to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working in a fast paced operational environment , ideally with prior experience of working in a start-up distribution environment.
• Past experience of working in large Distribution Centres managing significant sized teams
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Strong analytical skills and experience using metrics to drive decision-making.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
