Our client, currently in the entrepreneurial start-up phase of their growth, is a subsidiary of one of the largest utility companies. They have ambitions to develop, build, connect and maintain offshore wind, HVDC, and offshore grid infrastructure in Europe, and the USA. Turner Lovell, a specialised recruitment firm in HVDC and offshore wind, is supporting this search.
This company is at the forefront of substantial investments and therefore are looking for experienced export cable Package Manager to join them during the feasibility and concept definition phases of major projects. In this role, you will lead the front end engineering design and project planning for international HVDC and offshore grid connection projects. You will coordinate internal and consultancy engineering teams, define routes and installation options with suppliers and advise senior leaders within the organisation and projects regarding risks and mitigation.
Responsibilities Include:
Leading cable routing activities and managing installation risks
Defining and overseeing cable routing survey scopes
Ensuring timely and budgeted delivery of cable systems by collaborating with suppliers and contractors
Developing and reviewing specifications for HV cable systems installation
Providing technical advice for procurement and business development activities
Monitoring manufacturing, testing, and installation for quality assurance
Acting as a key interface between the company and specialists
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Master's in Engineering with 5-10 years' experience in cable system delivery
Strong grasp of technical challenges for high-voltage cable packages -
MUST HAVE BEEN PART IN INSTALLATION
In-depth knowledge of cable supply chain dynamics and market conditions
Proficiency in cable installation, testing, and desktop studies for routing
Experience in leading projects from early development phases
Ability to navigate technical negotiations with stakeholders
International team player adept at working in diverse cultures
Fluency in English; Dutch, German, or French proficiency is advantageous
