Paediatric Occupational Therapist- Cornwall

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to become part of a dynamic team in Cornwall. The successful candidate will work within a school environment, delivering assessments, interventions, and support to children with a range of developmental and physical needs.

Location: Cornwall
Salary: between £29-35 per hour depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-time (Part-time applications welcome)
Start Date: Within 2-4 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat children with a range of paediatric conditions, including sensory processing disorders, motor skills difficulties, and developmental delays.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to support the child’s progress and learning.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care and support.
• Support children in their classroom and social environments to facilitate participation and integration.
• Provide training and guidance to school staff on how to support children’s occupational needs effectively.

Essential Criteria:

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
• Significant experience working with children, particularly in a school or educational setting.
• Sound knowledge of paediatric assessments, interventions, and relevant treatment techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of professionals and families.
• A flexible approach to working hours, with the possibility to accommodate part-time applicants.
