Paint Manager – Marine Sector





Based – Portsmouth





Position:



               



The Paint Manager holds responsibility for the management of all site personnel under their control, work scope and budget controls, based in Portsmouth on a marine project. In addition, they are responsible for developing site procedures to meet key business objectives, adhere to timescales, build an effective professional working partnership with the Client, comply with specifications and maintain a reputation to exceed in the delivery of excellent customer services to ensure contract retention.





Reporting to the Project Director and supervising all Trade Managers, Team Leaders and Supervisors, Quality Control Inspectors (Daily Basis), Administrators and Trade Resources              





Example Duties:






  • Ensure that all facilities are well established with site organisation, plant, equipment, materials, management and supervision and technical information to support effective operations and that safety, environmental and quality matters are dealt with in a professional manner and are afforded the highest priority.



•      Plan project work scopes and ensure they are programmed to a level of detail necessary for the site team to deliver the scheme without delays.



•      Attend client meetings and deliver pre-start meetings to the site team.



•      In collaboration with the Commercial Manager, ensure a commercial plan and end of life forecast is in place and monitored monthly for the successful commercial delivery of the project.



•      Produce and analyse progress reports, updated costs and work scope forecasts for communicating to the Project Director.



•      Verification of Paint Manager(s) & QC(s) specific job requirements as specified within their job description.



•      Oversee the Management of each work package in line with agreed plan & work scope.



•      Communicating daily with client’s management team, current performance updates and scheduling.



•      Allocate HSEQ responsibilities and duties for site personnel, check understanding and training requirements as necessary.
