Come and join us as a b Panel Specialist /b working in our b state-of-the-art /b Research Technology Centre (RTC). /p p Working at the b forefront /b of automotive repair, and with the very latest b automotive designs /b and b technologies /b , youll be responsible for applying your b panel repair expertise /b to conduct research that delivers risk management and vehicle repair b data /b that b influences /b b safe /b , cost-effective repair for our member insurers and commercial customers. /p p If you have a b passion for the automotive industry, /b coupled with hands-on experience as a b Panel Beater /b and are excited by the prospect of working with cutting edge, new vehicle technology then this could be the role for you! /p p b Your mission /b /p ul li Conduct research to develop safe and cost-effective body repair methodologies for vehicles. /li li Provide risk management information to member insurers by leveraging your panel expertise to assess vehicle repairs. /li li Utilize practical panel skills, including body component removal and refitting, chassis alignment, and hot/cold joining techniques, to contribute to repair research projects for insurers and commercial clients. /li li Identify and apply established technologies and methods for comprehensive vehicle panel repair. /li li Create body repair manuals for global vehicle manufacturers. /li /ul p b Skills & experience that will set you up for success in this role: /b /p ul li Ideally, a minimum of 5 years experience in the motor vehicle repair industry. /li li Proficiency in executing all aspects of panel body repair processes based on existing knowledge and experience. /li li Familiarity with joining technologies in vehicle body construction, such as hot/cold repairs, rivet and bonding techniques, and carbon/composite constructions. /li li Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. /li li Recognised motor vehicle certification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, ATA) would be advantageous. /li /ul p b Did you know... /b /p p Research tells us that b men are more likely to apply /b to jobs if they meet only b 60% /b of the criteria, whereas b women /b often hesitate or b don't apply /b unless they meet b all /b of the criteria.
