About the Role
The Scottish Government is seeking a dedicated and motivated paralegal to support the COVID-19 Inquiry team. This role is crucial in assisting with legal research, document preparation, and the overall organisation of the inquiry process.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and summarise findings relevant to the COVID-19 inquiry.
Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, reports, and submissions.
Organise and maintain case files and evidence for the inquiry.
Attend meetings and assist in note-taking and documentation.
Support the inquiry team in managing time lines and deliverable.
Essential Criteria
A degree in law or a relevant qualification in legal studies within Scots Law.
Previous experience in a paralegal role or in a legal environment.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with public inquiries or government processes is an advantage.
