Parking Debt Recovery Officer

Good Afternoon,�

I am currently representing Tower Hamlets Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Parking Debt Recovery Officer this role will be: E14 2BG (PART TIME 17.5 Hours)

The right candidate will:�

• To receive and process all incoming post and deal with all payments (however received) in a prompt and timely manner and ensure all correspondence, representations and appeals are recorded on the Processing System and passed to the appropriate Section as directed in Council procedures.


• To deal with all aspects of debt recovery (issue of all standard letters, statutory notices and debt registration)


• To carry out day-to-day administrative duties in respect of sorting and distributing post, batching up payments and checking envelopes prior to disposal.


• To receive and process requests for refunds, maintain records and ensure cheques are raised and despatched in good time and that the relevant computer systems are updated accordingly.

We require the following:�

• Experience of working in an area of Parking Services, ideally (but not necessarily) Parking Debt Recovery.


• Experience of delivering a customer and solution focussed service.
