About the Company:

Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing business based in Manchester City Centre to appoint a Management Accountant, which is a key role in the finance team. The business operates in the IT industry in the UK and overseas, with finance based in their offices in central Manchester.

We are looking for an experienced, part-qualified Management Accountant to assist with the production of the management accounts with scope to develop and progress in the role. This role is key to the small finance team and will report to the Finance Manager.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE, hybrid working 2 days in the office, pension, 25 days holiday plus banks and ability to buy/sell up to 5, flexible working hours, discounted gym.

What we are looking for you to do/key responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation of the management accounts pack.
Take responsibility for the balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
Manage intercompany postings and reconciliations between 3 entities.
Maintain the Fixed asset register.
Support and assist with sales tax and corporation for the US.
Assist with Credit Card and Expenses processing.
Assist with the processing of sales and purchase invoices where needed.
Assist with year-end audit, providing evidence and resolving queries.
Support with and implement continuous improvement to processes
Assist the Finance Manager and the team with ad-hoc tasks as and when they arise
Professional qualification and competencies:

Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA
Strong excel skills (eg. VLOOKUPs, pivot tables etc) – these may be tested on 2nd interview.
Experience in a similar Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role with strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping,
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to plan and organise workload
Enthusiastic and confident when liaising with the team and other non-finance colleagues.
Able to use own initiative to solve problems
Have a desire to develop and progress in a fast paced growing business
