Part time Accounts Assistant Opportunity in Gateshead!
2-3 days a week! Flexible days and hours to suit you! This position is fully office based when working! 20-25 hours is optimal, more hours can be available upon request in due course.
WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?
Annual pro rata base Salary of £28k.
Monday to Friday working hours, 2-3 days a week, 3 is optimal.
28 days leave inclusive of bank holidays – Pro rata

Our fantastic client specialises within the Freight & Delivery industry. They pride themselves on their attention to detail and impeccable track record of delivering precise timed deliveries, time and time again. It is this track record and the reputation it created that allowed their company to grow from humble beginnings in the 1970s to the trans-European express company it is today, trusted, to ensure that aircraft and ships spares are dispatched and arrive exactly on time.
THE ROLE
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Utilise accounting software to maintain financial records accurately
Prepare financial reports and statements
Prepare and raise invoices/match proof of deliveries to invoices
Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial data integrity
Speak to subcontractors / chase POD's to keep our current invoice processing flowing
THE PERSON
Proven experience working with accounting software Sage
Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable procedures
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Happy to work 2-3 days a week in office.
