Basic Salary: £18,103.33 Pro-rata (£11.76 PH)
Hours: 8.00am - 1.00pm Term Time Only

About our School
ISP School is an independent specialist provision serving children and young people (CYP) in Kent and Medway who live with their families, foster carers or in residential children's homes.
Our school supports CYP with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).
We provide high quality education, adopting a holistic and tailored approach, complemented by a full range of support services, for each and every one of our pupils.
Role responsibilities:
ISP is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.
- Promote the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils and visitors
- Promote and act on initiatives to improve Quality of Life and wellbeing for pupils and staff
Key Tasks and Activities:
- Communicate with ISP Staff and other professionals within the school, ISP Centres and Local Authorities from Kent, Medway, Thanet and London.
- Communicate with parents and carers by phone, text and e-mail.
- Receive and host visitors, maintenance and guests to the school.
- Deal with school correspondence / emails and phone calls
- Arrange and attend meetings taking minutes as required
- Produce minutes of network meetings, staff meetings / briefings and inclusion meetings
- Manage the Whitstable site delegated budgets
- Manage the Whitstable site Petty Cash
- Maintain school and associated documents using SIMS & BehaviourWatch
- Support the school mission through executing other associated duties and tasks directed by the Head Teacher from time to time.
Requirements
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills - Written and Oral.
- Excellent Organisation Skills with a systematic approach to workload management.
- Excellent time management, planning and work prioritisation skills.
- Experience of developing systems and processes.
- Excellent understanding of Sims.
- Ability to work within allocated budgets and monitor expenditure and costs.
- Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice/legislation.
- Ability to plan and develop systems.
- Ability to relate well to children and adults.
- Work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
- Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities.
- Confidentiality of information as appropriate.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
We are looking to appoint a candidate initially part-time although the role will lead to a more full time (Term time) role as the pupil numbers grow within the school.
The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, cost of which will be met by ISP School.
