Location: Croydon
Salary: £95 to £100 PAYE per day
Hours: 8am to 3:30pm
Type: 3 to 4 days a week

About the Role
Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people? Are you skilled in helping students with social, emotional, and mental health needs? Join our outstanding team as a Behaviour Mentor at a leading SEMH school in Croydon.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Support: Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to help students manage their behaviour and emotions.
- Behaviour Management: Implement and monitor behaviour management strategies, working closely with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
- Mentorship: Act as a role model and mentor, building strong, trusting relationships with students to support their personal and academic growth.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Plans.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Keep detailed records of student progress and behaviour, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Previous experience working with children and young people, particularly those with SEMH needs, is essential.
- Knowledge: Understanding of SEMH challenges and effective behaviour management techniques.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience and Empathy: A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to support the well-being and development of young people.
- Resilience: Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
