About UK Industrial PalletsUK Industrial Pallets is a leading UK-based wooden pallet recycling business based in Welham Green, Hertfordshire.We have been in business since 1998 and we supply wooden pallets to companies that need them to ship goods out on or we buy wooden pallets from companies that receive goods in on wooden pallets but do not need the pallets thereafter.About The JobWe are looking for someone to support our business by helping with bookkeeping, general admin and answering the office phone.What you’ll be doing:Managing bookkeeping tasks such as:Purchase Ledger: Processing invoices & paying suppliersSales Ledger: Raising sales invoices, allocating receipts & credit controlNominal Ledger: Posting bank receipts/payments, bank reconciliation & journal entries e.g. accrualsPrepare Monthly Management Accounts, VAT Returns, and Cash Flow Management & ForecastsOversee all transactional duties with precisionCollaborate closely with the director on intricate queries and problem-solvingGeneral administration tasks such as:Answering the phonePaperwork/fillingSupporting the director with other administrative tasksWhat will make you successful:A minimum of two years’ bookkeeping experienceMust be proficient in the use of SageExperience of working for small companies and working to deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office suite and Google SheetsStrong organisational and analytical skillsDetail orientedA formal bookkeeping or accounting qualification such as AAT, or part-qualified ACCA / CIMA (not necessary but would be advantageous)Where you will be based:Travellers Lane Industrial Estate, Travellers Lane, Welham Green, Hertfordshire, AL9 7HF.Salary:We are offering £19,000-£25,000 per annum on a part-time basis of 25 hours per week (£35,000-£40,000 pro rata).UK Industrial Pallets is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
