Finance Administrator - Part Time 25 hours per week

Our client, an established company with a friendly team and low staff turnover are currently looking to recruit an experienced finance administrator on a part time basis for 25 hours per week to oversee the day-to-day financial activities of the company and to assist in the preparation of the organisation's monthly/quarterly reports and annual year end accounts in conjunction with their Accountants. The hours can be worked over 4 or 5 days and the company are currently working hybrid. The company has excellent company benefits.

Role: Part Time Finance Administrator Where: Chandlers Ford Salary: �28-32,000pa (pro rata)

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage purchase and sales ledger transactions / reconciliations.
  • Process invoices and follow up payments with clients and suppliers.
  • Reconciliation of bank statements.
  • Create and update financial spreadsheets.
  • Provide financial support during budget preparation.
  • Calculate monthly income and expenditure cash flow.
  • Liaise with the Accountants to produce a quarterly financial report.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual finance meetings.
  • Regular monitoring of Grant Funds in conjunction with Business Manager and provide summary for quarterly review meetings.
  • Raise relevant sponsorship contracts/invoices and chase up relevant documentation and payments.
  • Maintain Companies House online records and update as necessary.
  • Preparation of annual HMRC PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) submissions.
  • Knowledge of preparing quarterly VAT returns to HMRC, in conjunction with the accountants. (Training will be provided).
  • Identify and address account reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Support monthly payroll / reconciliation of pension payments.
  • Provide reports on financial projections as required.
  • Assist with preparation of Year End documentation and figures for review by Accountants.

You will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and processes.
  • To be flexible and confidential.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills.
  • IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, QuickBooks.
