£14.85 per hour

My client is looking for a finance analyst to provide analytical support in checking invoices. The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and understand how to do VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and formula auditing. The role is part-time, working 23.5 hours per week on a hybrid basis after training. The part time analyst role is temporary for between 4 to 6 months.

Part-Time Finance Analyst Key responsibilities:

• Analysing supplier invoices daily, using VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables to break down cost elements
• Analysis of monthly costs versus approved levels of spend. Detailed invoice reconciliation of all costs to ensure that they are in line with agreed cost levels.
• Management of monthly costs including forecasting, reporting, accruals and payment.
• Support the Manager in creation, modification and maintenance of reports for publication to senior management
• Managing the PO requirements and ensuring all costs are processed in a compliant manner and highlighting any potential risks
• The delivery of accurate short (current month), medium (current year) and long-term (5-year) financial forecasting.
• Prompt reporting and analysis of financial results, to include variance reporting on budget/forecast to senior stakeholders, and reforecasting.
• Ownership of daily reports and all Financial logs including invoice errors, total spend by supplier and annual maintenance spend

Part-Time Finance Analyst Person Specification:

• Strong MS Excel skills
• Keen eye for detail, able to analyse large amounts of data, yet also to identify key trends, extract value and articulate findings
• Confidence in operating in complex and challenging environments with changing priorities
