We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fractional Head of Finance who has experience expanding annual revenue from £3-4 million to £10 million+, ideally in the US market, to join our team and guide our financial strategy and operations across multiple jurisdictions. Who You Are Are you a passionate professional with experience as a Head of Finance? In this role, you will be a sole individual contributor responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company in collaboration with the directors, including financial planning, management, and reporting. You would be a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance, with a versatile skillset working both in financial accounting and management accounting. You would have experience expanding revenues to £10 million+, ideally with a focus on the US market. You would preferably have experience in the SaaS industry. Finally, you would be a fantastic candidate if you have experience managing finances across different jurisdictions and ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations This fractional/part time role could suit someone who is looking for more work life balance, or someone who enjoys providing their expertise to a range of different companies. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy and Planning Execute financial strategies to support company growth Lead the annual budgeting process, including setting financial targets, preparing financial forecasts, and monitoring performance against budget. Financial planning to ensure the growth and financial health of the company. Cross-Jurisdictional Finance Strategy Navigate financial regulations and tax laws across various jurisdictions where the company operates, ensuring full compliance and optimizing tax positions. Mitigate financial risks associated with operating in multiple countries. Manage intercompany transactions and transfer pricing policies. Financial Analysis and Decision Support Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost management, and investment evaluation. Develop and track key financial performance indicators. Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team. Operational Efficiency and Cost Control Analyse costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. Support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Work with all departments to ensure financial alignment with business goals. Business as Usual Financial Management and Reporting Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management. Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards across different jurisdictions and coordinate annual audits. Person Specification We re looking for someone with the following: Proven experience as a Head of Finance or similar leadership role, preferably in the software as a service industry. Experience growing a business to £10m+ Ideally, experience expanding revenue in the USA market. Experience in both financial accounting and management accounting. Experience managing BAU financial operations. Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and financial regulations across different jurisdictions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, start-up environment. Forward-thinking and innovative always looking for ways to improve processes. Proficiency in financial software and tools. A willingness to take risks and embrace challenges we're a fast-growing company so we need to constantly adapt.
