Job Title: Parts Advisor

Location: Bentham, Lancaster

Contract Details: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time

Salary: �24,000 - �29,000 per year

About Our Client:

Our client, an established independent specialist in Unimogs, is seeking an enthusiastic new team member to join their parts sales department. They offer a wide range of new, used, and reconditioned parts for Unimogs, as well as their own range of specially developed Unimog accessories and extra equipment. With a busy workshop, design engineering team, and vehicle sales, the client provides a dynamic and varied work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deal with customer parts enquiries in a friendly and timely manner via email, WhatsApp, phone, and face-to-face interactions
  • Offer advice to assist customers with fault diagnosis, maximising profit for the organisation
  • Support colleagues in listing parts on the organisation's website & eBay
  • Place orders with suppliers, book in deliveries, and follow up on shortages
  • Assist in keeping internal stock systems up to date, including periodic stock-takes
  • Provide cover for colleagues during absences

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Some experience in parts sales, preferably in agricultural, heavy vehicles, or a machinery dealer
  • Good mechanical awareness and/or knowledge of vehicles & parts
  • Strong IT skills, including clear email & WhatsApp communication
  • Excellent telephone manner to provide top-quality customer service
  • Sound numeracy & literacy skills
  • Methodical & orderly approach to work

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Familiarity with Unimogs (full induction and on-the-job training provided)
  • Experience in an international customer-facing role
