We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Assistant to join our team at a mainstream secondary school in Norwood, Lambeth. As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing student well-being and fostering a positive, inclusive school atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
� Collaborate with the pastoral team to support students, focusing on a specific Key Stage.
� Help implement a coordinated behaviour management system, integrating interventions with appropriate pastoral support.
� Assisting the Heads of Year with the development of the Key Stage and day to day pastoral issues
� Responsible for the support of students within the Key Stage, including their welfare, attitude to learning and academic progress
� Undertaking administrative duties as appropriate
Requirements & Qualifications:
� Experience in a similar role with strong behaviour management and intervention skills.
� A degree in related studies is preferable but not essential.
� Ability to understand and support children's learning.
� Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and effectively.
� High level of commitment and the ability to work well as part of a team.
� Discretion, good judgement, and initiative.
� Have or undergo an Enhanced DBS check
