My client, an award winning hotel and resort operation based in St Ives are seeking to appoint an experienced Pastry Chef to join their team.
We are looking for a pastry chef who can :
Bring in strong Management & responsibility for the pastry section of the kitchen
Ensure the production and service of the food in the section matches the vision of the Resort and the Executive Head Chef
Stocking, checking and ordering ingredients
Weighing and measuring ingredients
Baking and decorating pastries and other desserts
Contributing ideas to the menu
Keeping accurate records
training Assistants or Junior Chefs
Operating a variety of kitchen equipment
Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment
Candidate Requirements
Experience in a similar style venue
Proven understanding of food safety compliance
A passion for delivering fresh food or outstanding quality.
Be willing to learn, develop and improve own skills, whilst having the ability to progress and engage others
Always attentive and proactive
An excellent team player with exceptional communication skills
Be fun-loving, have a great character and enjoy the culture that our industry offers
