Located in Exchange Quay in Salford.
TROO Hospitality is seeking a
Group Payroll Manager
to join our team. The role is based out of our central office in Manchester.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring that accuracy, compliance, and efficiency are maintained so every team member is paid correctly and on time.
This position requires strong analytical abilities, a thorough understanding of payroll principles, and exceptional attention to detail and communication skills. You will collaborate closely with the Talent & Culture team, hotel teams, leadership, and various departments to implement effective strategies that enhance the overall payroll and team member experience. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in shaping our company culture and driving employee satisfaction.
Role Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
·Execute end-to-end payroll processing.
·Ensure all payroll changes in salaries and tronc are up to date.
·Prepare and analyse tronc notes and spreadsheets.
·Assist with end of payroll reporting.
Reporting and Analysis
·Ensure rotas are completed on a weekly basis and help prepare weekly employee costs reports.
·Reconcile monthly payroll to weekly rotas, providing analysis behind the variances for monthly management reporting.
·Report to management on payroll issues and changes.
·Prepare and maintain monthly tronc reports.
·Prepare and maintain payroll tracker.
·Liaise with Talent & Culture and Operations teams regarding any ad hoc payroll changes and deductions.
Audit and Reconciliation
·Work with the Head of Talent & Culture & Finance Teams to implement and conduct regular internal audits to ensure accuracy in payroll records.
·Reconcile discrepancies and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve issues promptly.
·Reconcile payroll and PAYE balance sheet accounts to payroll records monthly.
Compliance Management
·Ensure statutory payments are processed correctly and compliance with all payroll tax regulations.
·Stay up to date on payroll and tax law changes.
·Assist with preparation of P11Ds, HMRC and Pension related queries.
Communication and Support
·Serve as the key point of contact for payroll-related queries from Team Members.
·Offer managers guidance and assistance in understanding payroll policies and procedures.
