Payroll Specialist (16 months contract) Lurgan, Armagh (Hybrid working) 37.75 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8am 4pm & Friday 8am 2pm Join our team at Terex GBS and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Payroll Specialist contribute to the Payroll team. GBS UK is a shared service centre based in Lurgan, Co Armagh. We work as part of a worldwide structure supporting Terex entities in the UK, Europe, Australia and the US. GBS is responsible for a range of financial functions including General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Business Tax, Travel and Expenses and Payroll. Global Business Services require a full-time payroll specialist team member. The Payroll team is responsible for the preparation of the weekly and monthly payroll for a number of sites. What youll do Processing weekly and monthly payrolls Collect and/or prepare appropriate supporting documents for all payroll transactions. Ensure all third party payroll payments are made on time including pension payments. Provide audit support specific to payroll. Reconcile and complete year-end returns and submit to HMRC. Assist with projects in the payroll area. Deal with correspondence from HMRC. From time to time, you will be required to undertake other responsibilities / activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities. What youll bring Experience within a payroll position running multiple end to end payrolls. Working knowledge of ADP Freedom or similar payroll package. Competent with Microsoft excel. As a minimum, applicants must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent. Previous experience within a Shared Service environment would be beneficial but not essential. Skills & Competencies Ability to meet strict deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and highly organised Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Team player with ability to work on own initiative. Excellent customer service skills. Understanding internal controls. Unquestionable ethics and integrity with high degree of transparency and trust.
