#####Job Description Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Payroll Support Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will be responsible for supporting the administrative duties for the payroll of 16,000 staff, pensions and teachers.
Main Responsibilities\n- Provide high quality and timely advice and guidance to customer on a wide range of payroll related matters ensuring confidentiality is maintained and assisting in the resolution of payroll related problems and enquiries escalating any problems that might arise, where appropriate.
\n- Prioritise workload, often against conflicting deadlines, circumstances and expectations, so that all areas of the work are given due priority and none are neglected.
\n- Input accurately to the payroll related database to ensure that its integrity is maintained.
\n- Assist in the development, maintenance and utilisation of the Directorate’s management information systems.
\n- Responsible for the processing of payments for professional fees, eye tests, long service awards, overtime and car mileage claim forms, etc

Candidate Criteria\n- Experience of working within a Local Government payroll environment is highly preferred
\n- Experience of administering basic requests and resolving system related queries in a Payroll environment
\n- Experience of using ResourceLink would be highly beneficial
\n- Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
