Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sutton
Age Group: Students aged 5 to 11 years old
Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay: £85 to £90 PAYE

Role Overview:
They are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with students aged 5 to 11, providing tailored support to help them navigate their learning experiences. Your contributions will be vital in creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering personalized learning plans for students with PDA.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to promote positive behavior and engagement.
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and independence.
- Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with PDA, is highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification in education or child development (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
