Role: PE Teacher

Location: Manchester

Contract: Permanent with a 16 week probationary period through our agency

Full Time: 5 days

Salary: �25,000 to �45,000

The School:

The School caters for young people aged 11-16 who have been permanently excluded or are unable to attend Mainstream Schools. The students in this provision may be disengaged with their learning and have complex needs and previous trauma and may often display challenging behaviour.

The role of a PE Teacher:

The School are looking for a PE Teacher and will consider a Sports Graduate or ECT for work in this SEMH setting. It would be advantageous to have experience working in a PRU with de-escalation training but this is not essential to the role. The role would entail working across other Centres from time to time so a full, clean driving license with own transport is essential.

You will be working with KS3 and KS4 students delivering practical PE lessons, as well as the theory side of things for GCSE students. While experience is ideal, this position is also open to Early Career Teachers who fill all other criteria. We are open to speaking with anyone who has delivered BTEC Sport aswell.

Requirements and Responsibilities for the PE Teacher:

Ideally have experience teaching Physical Education.
The ability to effectively manage behaviour.
Excellent knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Curriculum.
Great communication and lesson delivery skills.
To prepare and plan lessons in advance with some support from the curriculum lead
Delivering both theoretical and practical lessons
