Job Title: PE Teacher

Salary: £31,650- £41,333 dependant on prior experience

Employment Type: Full-time, Long term or Permanent

January and February half term dates available

Simply Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate PE Teacher to join our team in Cheshire. The position involves working with students who have moderate learning difficulties and may require support with social and emotional needs. We are open to applications from both newly qualified and experienced PE teachers who are looking for an enriching new challenge.

Our setting in Cheshire prides itself on fostering an inclusive environment where children feel safe and secure to explore their learning. We recognise that each student works at a different pace, and therefore, the successful PE teacher must be adept at differentiating activities and building upon students' prior knowledge and skills to stretch and challenge their learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with moderate learning difficulties.
  • Differentiate activities to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Implement the school's behaviour policy and procedures effectively, demonstrating strong behaviour management skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure the holistic development of each student.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with moderate learning difficulties and social/emotional needs, is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to follow the school's behaviour policy accurately.
  • Passion for physical education and promoting healthy lifestyles among students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
