If you're ready to do the most ambitious work of your career, join us.We are looking for a People Operations Partner who can deliver excellent People Operations initiatives in the UK, Netherlands, Lithuania and Israel (EMEA). You will improve managers and employees’ experience throughout the employee life cycle in Airwallex. This will be done through developing, implementing and optimising HR policies, procedures and programmes. This role is based in the UK and will report into the Regional People Director.The People Operations Partner supports overall HR functions and objectives, which includes policies & procedures, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, training and development, and compliance with relevant employment laws.Responsibilities include:HR Policies and Procedures:Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and proceduresEnsure consistent application of policies across the organisation such as our Employee HandbookReduce risk and ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day employee management and understanding when to escalate issuesBenefits Administration:Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, pensions, insurances and other perksAssist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issuesLead the annual renewal process for all EMEA benefitsEmployee Relations:Address employee relations issues and conduct investigations when necessaryProvide guidance and support to employees on HR-related mattersPerformance Management:Support the performance management processProvide feedback and guidance on performance improvementTraining and Development:Help facilitate training sessions on various HR-related topicsHR Compliance:Ensure compliance with local employment lawsStay updated on changes in labour laws and regulationsPrepare and maintain HR records and documentationOther:Work with our payroll team on processing the EMEA payroll monthlyWork with our government authorities, immigration advisors and/or law firms to process and manage all immigration cases and mobility cases for EMEAWork with EOR providers as neededPartner with the People Team across the globe to gain alignment on people philosophy and programs where achievable and localise programs as neededWhat you bring:Proven work experience in people operations or similar role in a fast-growing startup/scaleup environment. You’re an executor who’s passionate about policies and procedures. You have accumulated tremendous pattern recognition from your experience, but you also have vision and conviction on how you’d like to do things differently when designing the People Ops function from the ground upAre a masterful, precise, and tactful communicator. You can sell the Airwallex vision, engage professionally with candidates across all levels and functions, and convey complex information eloquentlyAct as an “owner”, and drive initiatives forward autonomously, looping in others as needed for input, delegation, or support with key decisions. You’re great at proactively giving visibility on your work’s status, progress, or blockersHave extremely high EQ. You are great at reading the room, picking up the unsaid, and tailoring your approach as neededCare personally about the real humans behind the jobs, and are able to build strong and productive relationships with coworkers. Maintaining transparency and equity is a sticking point with you and you proactively raise concerns and solutions in order to help the organisation maintain compliance across all employee areasCertification in Human Resources is an advantage
