People Services Manager

  • Location: Winchester / Hybrid (2 days a week from home)
  • Hours: full time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Are you a dynamic professional with a passion for enhancing the colleague experience and driving continuous improvement in HR processes? Our client is seeking a dedicated People Services Manager to join their People and Culture Team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire colleague lifecycle, ensuring efficient, effective, and innovative people services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement: Design, improve, and modernise HR systems and processes, ensuring they are efficient, digitalised, and compliant with legal standards.
  • Colleague Support: Act as the primary contact for all people-related systems, providing support and training to colleagues and liaising with external support providers.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Develop robust reporting capabilities to meet business needs and regulatory requirements, ensuring all people records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Stakeholder Management: Influence and collaborate with key stakeholders, gathering feedback and driving strategic business plans to enhance people management across the organisation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience in HR functions (recruitment, ER, learning & development, operations) or in a customer service role. Line management experience is essential.
  • Skills: Strong systems proficiency (ideally HR), process design and improvement, stakeholder management, decision-making, and time management. Advanced skills in Office 365, especially Word and Excel.
  • Attributes: A forward-thinking, solution-oriented individual who thrives on problem-solving and is an advocate for change and continuous improvement. You should be agile, adaptable, and a respected role model who embodies our values.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CIPD qualified or working towards it
  • Experience in the Care Sector
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of rostering and payroll systems
