Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated People Services Manager t This role involves working closely with the Head of People Services and the People Services Team, holding overall responsibility for the People Services Function within the designated area. You will advise, coach, and influence Headteachers/Heads of Service and leaders across the business to ensure consistent application of policies and people management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Directly line manage at least one People Services Advisor (PSA).

Ensure accurate and timely team appraisals and identify training needs.

Advise on and implement People policies effectively.

Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with PSAs to discuss KPIs and employee relations casework.

Ensure consistent processes and practices across the team.

Provide high-quality People support, advice, and guidance to all employees within the Trust.

Manage relationships with external People partners.

Support change management programmes, restructuring, and redundancies.

Act as an active panel member in hearings.

Oversee the exit interview process and monthly payroll checking.

Maintain accurate employee data and support the development of reporting processes.

Promote Equality & Diversity within the Trust.

Qualifications & Experience:

Current member of CIPD.

Qualified to CIPD level 5 or above (or equivalent experience).

Educated to degree level in HR/Personnel Management.

Previous experience in a similar role.

Demonstrable breadth of Generalist HR experience.

Experience in coaching and supporting managers.

Knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice, legislation, and employment law.

Skills & Abilities:

Strategic thinking and practical implementation.

Effective negotiation and influencing skills.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Ability to develop professional working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and priorities
