Location : London, UK Purpose of the Role: The Petroleum Engineer is responsible for analyzing well performance and identifying opportunities to increase production. This role involves the analysis and interpretation of field data, conducting studies aimed at optimizing well performance, and enhancing oil and gas recoveries. The Petroleum Engineer will manage and report on various rig and rigless petroleum engineering activities, including well testing, well completion and workover, stimulation, wireline operations, sampling, and production logging. The engineer will also assist in designing well completion, artificial lift, workover, stimulation and remedial programs. Additionally, this position involves conducting feasibility and conceptual studies for field development, as well as optimization studies of hydrocarbon production, process systems, product export, water treatment, disposal, and flare systems. Job Function: Work within a multidisciplinary subsurface and operations team to optimize production. Utilize standard PE software such as OFM, Prosper, MBAL, GAP, Saphir, etc. Assist in developing conceptual appraisal and development plans for discovered fields. Identify wells in the portfolio that would benefit from remedial action and determine the best course of action. Design, optimize, and troubleshoot artificial lift systems (gas-lift, ESP, PCP, etc.). Collaborate with subsurface, production technology, and drilling departments to optimize completion design for both new wells and workover candidates. Plan and review data acquisition programs for wells, including pressure transient analysis, PLT data, gradient surveys, and cased hole logging. Assist in reserves management and perform analytical and numerical reservoir engineering tasks. Participate in engineering project groups to ensure surface and subsurface facilities design parameters are integrated during basic engineering.
