Salary: £12.21 per hour + 12% day shift, 16.5% late shift and 24% night shift.



Working Hours: 40 hours per week. Worked in a 3 weekly shift rotation of:



Earlies (6am – 2pm) Monday to Friday



Lates (2pm - 10pm) Monday to Friday



Nights (10pm - 6am) Sunday to Thursday. With ½ hour paid break.





Summary:



New Resource Recruitment are working on behalf of a long respected, financially strong, and well-established company to recruit a full time and permanent individual to fulfil the role of Warehouse Operative.

Scope of the Role:



This role focuses on accurately and efficiently picking customer orders using handheld scanners and specialized side loader trucks. These trucks are designed for smooth manoeuvring of 6-meter uPVC profiles, with the operator elevated alongside the picking platform to safely and easily access stock at different heights.





Key Responsibilities:




  • Accurately and efficiently pick orders from picking lists, ensuring all items are selected correctly.

  • Inspect products for any visual or physical defects or damage before dispatch.

  • Operate a picking platform at various heights (training and licensing provided).

  • Participate in routine stock counts to maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Conduct pre-shift equipment checks, reporting any issues or defects on the relevant check sheets.



Key Skills & Abilities:




  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment (Essential).

  • Proven experience safely operating a forklift counterbalance truck (Essential).

  • Ability to read and accurately pick orders from written picking lists.

  • Confident in using ladders/steps and manually lifting/pulling products up to 25kg.

  • Skilled in operating a handheld scanner for order processing.





Desirable:




  • Forklift Counterbalance Licence with Reach.

  • Basic IT literacy, including experience using handheld electronic scanners.
