Major Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter for our well-respected Marine Engineering client based in Lowestoft

Background needs and role duties

• Must have experience of working with all pipe systems domestic, fuel and hydraulic
• Good understanding of shipbuilding/ship repair practices
• Must be able to install and set up systems, flush, pressure test and commission for new build vessels. Pipework materials including steel, stainless steel, nickel alloy, copper alloy, plastics.
• Must be able to work with equipment welding, lathes, radial and bench drills, bore/milling tools, alignment equipment
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and working drawings.
• Make skilful, controlled manipulations of small objects.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 with HNC in Pipefitting/shipbuilding qualifications
