Pipefitter required for a busy fabrication shop in Moray. Previous experience in a fabrication shop is essential. This will be ongoing work.
Monday - Friday (39 basic with 12 overtime hours)
Accommodation allowance will be paid for 4 nights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in all relevant company safety procedures and pre job planning, including tool box talks and risk assessments.
- Laying/Marking out, cutting, forming and joining metal pipe.
- Aligning and fixing pieces together through welding, bolting, threading and bending.
- Produce tack welds on various items using a variety of processes, manual arc, tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas, brazing etc.
- Fulfil all company and/or client procedures and understand their individual responsibility with regard to overall QHSE performance.
- Maintaining quality of work and ensuring compliance with job specific procedures and qualifications.
- Must be flexible, able to adapt to different situations which may require working overtime hours.
- Site work may also be required, working to client’s safety procedures and quality systems.
- Working under limited supervision using standardised practices and/or methods.
REQUIREMENTS
- Operating equipment used in pipefitting / fabricating and may also require the operating of associated workshop machinery, tools, welding and tacking up assemblies.
- Knowledge required of methods, techniques, materials, tools used in metal fabrication, welding, maintenance, repair, safety practices and procedures.
