Join the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) as a Planner for Marine & Tunnels!


Are you a talented planner with a knack for coordinating complex projects? At CWA, we are leading the development of Sizewell C, a groundbreaking 3.2-gigawatt power station set to provide clean, reliable electricity to around 6 million homes. We are seeking an experienced Planner to join our London-based team and help ensure the successful delivery of the Marine & Tunnels portion of this ambitious project.


About the Role: As a Planner, you will work closely with the Planning Lead and the broader SZC team, taking responsibility for developing, coordinating, and monitoring the project delivery programme. Your daily tasks will involve maintaining the main portion schedule, collating data for Earned Value Analysis, and supporting Project Controls. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Maintain the Programme for Acceptance in collaboration with the Project Manager (PM).

  • Prepare and update stage programmes and communicate progress to construction teams.

  • Work with the Project Controls Manager and Commercial Management Team to prepare periodic reports.

  • Support early warning and change management processes.

  • Coordinate Earned Value parameters and progress updates from Primavera into the Project Controls Dashboard.

  • Manage resources efficiently to meet project objectives, balancing costs and minimizing delays.

  • Analyze project data and KPIs to track progress and make data-driven decisions.

  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with the master portion programme.

  • Prepare programme submissions and detail changes and variances in programme narratives.

  • Implement environmental constraints and ensure they are reflected in the programme.


Your Profile:



  • Essential Qualifications: Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related sector. Proven experience in civil engineering planning with proficiency in NEC and P6.

  • Skills: Strong technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, a commitment to fostering a safety culture, and effective problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience: Experience in producing and managing construction programmes for medium to large-scale infrastructure projects, including highways, rail, utilities, site establishment, earthworks, marine structures, and general civil engineering works.

  • Desirable: CIOB/MICE Membership and experience with 4D/Synchro Modelling.
