Do you envision yourself at the heart of innovative projects, driving sustainable projects to enable the future-proofing of our electricity grid?If you're ready to step into a vital role in the renewables infrastructure for decades to come, keep reading to find out about this opportunity.About the companyMDE are in partnership with an ambitious, well-funded and experienced Independent Power Producer (IPP) that has established itself across 6 key countries globally, and the UK is one of those key markets.Globally, they have nearly 16 GW in power assets under development, and the UK alone makes up for nearly a quarter of this.This position will be key to contributing towards the realisation of this pipeline, hence, you will play a pivotal role for the company. Additionally, for the right individual who seeks progression, there’s ample opportunity to grow at pace.What are we looking for in a professional?Renewable Prowess: Your 2+ years of greenfield planning experience are backed by a robust knowledge of renewable technologies, such as solar, battery, or wind. Your understanding of these technologies will set the stage for planning triumphs.Strategic Navigator: You effortlessly steer through challenges, liaising with key stakeholders and consultants; ensuring unwavering compliance with planning regulations. Solutions-driven: Complex issues don't faze you – they energize you. Your ability to analyze, strategize, and deliver under pressure defines your success.Collaborative Leader: You have the proven ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team, both internal and external, to create a harmonious and effective planning ecosystem.Communication Expert: Your exceptional communication, influencing, and report writing skills enable you to effortlessly build relationships and drive projects forward.Ambitious Visionary: Your ambition extends to bringing the entire planning function in-house, shaping the future of our client’s renewable energy initiatives.What will your day-to-day look like?Supporting the UK development team with all current and future planning processes.Working closely with the team on identifying suitable development opportunities around connection opportunities.Managing planning consultants and other contractors appointed by the company to assist in the planning process.Reviewing team-originated land opportunities from a planning viewpoint, in cooperation with the team and their input regarding aspects of long-term requirements around construction, operation and asset management.Managing key stakeholders through the planning process and into the site construction and operational phase.Attend industry and discipline events, webinars and shows.If this sounds like something you'd like to know more about, feel free to reach out for a conversation and we will happily answer any questions.
