Plant Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting a Plant Manager for a market-leading manufacturer in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The Sheffield site has a turnover of in excess of £40m and employs approx. 230 people.The Plant Manager will report to the UK Operations Director and be responsible for the Sheffield manufacturing facility, overseeing site operations and delivering performance improvements and customer commitments.The roles offers a highly competitive salary, pension, bonus and package.The Plant Managers duties and responsibilities include:Lead the site operations teams to deliver results in terms of Sales & Production, budget & KPI’sDevelop and encourage a culture of continuous improvement across the site with clear objectives outlined and deliveredOversee operations budgets, performance improvements and cost reduction targetsManage the development, implementation and maintenance of core values to create a cohesive unit that is responsive to increasing demandsDeliver succession plans to create high performing teamsCollaborate and contribute to strategic objectives for the businessThe successful candidate will have the following skills & experience:University Degree in Operations, Engineering, Management or similarHigher Degree in Operations Management/MBA (preferred)Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean/Kaizen qualifiedExperience as a Senior Plant / Operations / Managerial capacity overseeing a team of 200+In-depth knowledge of supply chain operationsProven skills in the introduction of new products into manufacturingSkilled in improving safety performance and managing people effectivelyThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a hugely successful global business.Related job titles include: Plant Manager, Operations Director, Head of Operations, General Manager, Manufacturing Director, Production Director, Site Director, Factory ManagerElevation Recruitment Group’s Engineering & Manufacturing division work with a range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
