Plant Operator - Energy from Waste

Astute's Power team is exclusively partnering with a leading energy provider to recruit a Plant Operator to work at their Energy from Waste facility in Gloucester.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, you will:

• Perform operational duties on the main boiler, FGT plant and turbine using DCS.
• Carry out routine testing of plant equipment and inspections when required, recording data accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor performance of plant and ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor security systems and CCTV on site.
• Provide clear and comprehensive shift handovers.
• Undergo training and development competence in line with on site safety rules.

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

• Similar operational experience in Energy from Waste or other power sector.
• Experience with SCADA as a minimum, DCS highly sought after.
• Royal Navy/Marine Engineer applications welcome.
• Level 3 in relevant engineering subject as a minimum.
• Computer literate.
