Position Available: Plant Operative – £36,000 per Annum
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plant Operative to join our team in the Driffield area. This unique role requires a blend of technical expertise and hands-on ability, ideal for someone comfortable with both computer systems and practical, outdoor tasks.
 Role Overview:
As a Plant Operative, you will:
- Operate and manage computer systems effectively, handling data entry and process management.
- Adapt to a dynamic workload, shifting between desk-based tasks, handling equipment, and addressing operational challenges as they arise.
- Work independently on night shifts with minimal supervision, alongside only one other team member.
- Be prepared for outdoor work and exposure to various weather conditions – this is a role that’s as varied as it is engaging.
Key Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Self-Motivated: Proactive and able to identify tasks independently during quieter periods, from stock checks to maintaining site cleanliness.
- Local to Driffield and Hold a Valid Driver’s License: Due to the remote location, reliable transport is essential.
- Capable of Physical Work: Comfortable working at heights, and with exposure to kilns and fire as part of the role.
- Hardworking and Dedicated: Ideal for someone who’s committed to getting the job done with attention to safety and quality.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in Plant Processing: Prior experience in a similar environment is highly valued.
- FLT (Forklift Truck) & Telehandler Licenses: These certifications are advantageous, though not required; training may be provided.
Position Details:
- Salary: £36,000 per annum
- Shift: Rotating schedule of 2 days, 2 nights, followed by 4 days off (12-hour shifts).
