Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
Contract : Full-time, permanent

PLC Software and Commissioning Engineer - The Role

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for you to join our operations team as a PLC Software and Commissioning Engineer. You will join a dedicated, forward-thinking, extraordinary team that always aims for the next level in delivery and customer satisfaction!

Your Day to Day
To write PLC code to control refrigeration plants from customers specification (our standard PLC choice is Siemens S7, but may include Mitsubishi, Alan Bradley and RDM).
To create HMI screen layouts.
To create SCADA systems, including data and alarm logging.
Work closely with customers to ensure the contract requirements are fit for purpose.
Work with our control panel designers to select the correct PLC and IO for the projects.
Commissioning on-site with the team and the customer's commissioning engineers to see your coding work change the face of the customer's site.
You will also have the opportunity to visit sites to fix breakdowns (from time to time).

Knowledge and Experience
Work experience in PLC Coding.
To have customer-facing experience, ideally from a commissioning position.
To have understanding and experience working within project timelines.
Right first-time approach.
A good working knowledge of the Siemens TIA portal would be advantageous.
To be interested in continual self-development and industry development of future systems.
