Role Description:

As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the school's facilities are well-maintained, safe, and fully operational. Your primary focus will be on plumbing, but your duties will also include general building maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine plumbing tasks and repairs, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.


• Carry out general maintenance tasks, including electrical, carpentry, and janitorial duties as needed.


• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.


• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.


• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and school personnel to maintain a safe and functional environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong background in building maintenance with a focus on plumbing.


• Proven experience and confidence in plumbing tasks.


• Ability to perform general maintenance duties.


• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.


• Relevant trade qualifications in plumbing are highly desirable.
