Job Duties:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout and installation of plumbing systems
• Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems
• Use hand and power tools to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure plumbing systems meet building codes and standards

Required Qualifications:

• Valid plumbing licence
• Proven experience as a plumber
• Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Education:

Completion of an apprenticeship programme or vocational training in plumbing

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a plumber

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and components
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in specific plumbing areas
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects

Working Conditions:

• Work in various weather conditions
• Physical stamina and strength required for lifting and working in tight spaces
• May need to work weekends or evenings to meet project deadlines
