Position: Plumber

We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Plumber to join a commercial plumbing team in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will possess practical plumbing experience, a full driving licence, and a comprehensive understanding of asset management principles and maintenance techniques. Excellent communication skills are essential for building effective relationships with clients and colleagues, while proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation, Repair, and Maintenance: Carry out the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in commercial properties, ensuring that all work meets relevant standards and regulations.
Routine Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems and fixtures to identify potential issues and perform necessary planned and reactive maintenance.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues efficiently, implementing timely solutions to minimise disruption to services.
Contractor Oversight: Supervise contractors on site, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate logbooks and records of all work completed, including inspections, repairs, and any other relevant documentation.
Client Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, responding promptly to inquiries and exceeding customer expectations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for service improvements and innovations, proactively suggesting enhancements to existing processes and practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Practical experience in a plumbing role, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and maintenance techniques.
Full driving licence is essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships.
Knowledge of health and safety requirements related to plumbing work.
A commitment to continuing professional development and staying updated with industry standards.
Relevant plumbing qualifications, such as City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating (C&G 6035 or C&G 6129) or equivalent certifications.
Valid Gas Safe Registration (if applicable) and knowledge of current plumbing regulations.
A competitive salary, negotiable based on qualifications and experience, along with 32 days of holiday per year, including bank holidays. The standard working hours are typically Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00 (40 hours per week), although some flexibility may be required depending on the needs of the company.
