Polymer Engineer - �33,000 - �38,000 p/a + Benefits

What will you be doing?

  • Ensuring Adherence to all chemical procedures in chemical /Laydown areas specifically relating to: -
  • Recipe compliance.
  • SPC with appropriate upper and lower limits.
  • Foam processing check sheets.
  • Ripper quality.
  • Assist the Chemical Engineering manager to Deliver the agreed KPI's (including product performance compliance targets, chemical warranties, rejects, variances, line speeds, densities).
  • Work with Laboratory Technicians with material management of chemicals stocks to fulfil the business needs.
  • Providing technical assistance and chemical problem-solving assistance to production and engineering.
  • Assisting the Chemical engineering manager when required.
  • Protection of all our Chemical IP.
  • Assisting with R&D trials.
  • Assisting with auditing.
  • Maintaining Housekeeping and standards of assigned chemical/laydown areas.
  • Maintaining the calibration status of Panel lines and lab equipment.
  • Assist the chemical engineering manager in the delivery of the Chemical Strategy for the Division.
  • Assist the chemical engineering manager to Facilitate 3rd party auditing and witnessing in support of our existing and future Certification including addressing audits and non-conformances in a timely fashion along with overseeing lab characteristic DoP values.
  • To ensure site adherence to and operation of the Compliance Management System responsibilities within ISO 37301 Clause 5.3.4.
  • Adhere to the organisation compliance. obligations, policies, processes and, procedures.
  • Report compliance Concerns, Issues and, failures
  • Participate in training as required.
  • You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties'.

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Educated to Degree Level in a STEM Subject
  • Good level of computer literacy including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms and SharePoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience as working effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • 'Can do' attitude, get things done, persistent and never ever gives up
